Brewers - 4

Cardinals - 3

 

Man we are 2 innings from 2 and 2. Honestly not even sure the Cubs "need" to win any of the games in STL if they win today. If they got swept the Cubs would be 2 up over both teams with 3 to play.

 

and the other 2 playing each other

So wait in this fairly important series we got a really clutch dominant relief outing from Wilson and an ace quality start from Quintana?

Does Quintana get to finish this? I'm not totally against it with the current state of the bullpen, but I'm not sure I want him going past 110 this late in the season.

I don't think it's necessary, they can give the 9th to Grimm and have Edwards warm up if they give up runs. If they do I don't think it'll matter too much though, he's on autopilot plus his next and final regular season start will be post-clinch so it can be whatever length they want.

Let him go for it, but have someone ready. We will clinch before his next start so he can either go like 3 innings then and/or have his start pushed back
