Alright - I will throw this out there and then quit.

Who wants to take a bet that the Bears end up top 5 in both ypg and ypc? That should be a gimme for an elite rushing team, right? I'll bet $20 per taker.

I'll take this! I'm assuming you mean rushing ypg and ypc. They'll have to win some games to make the ypg part happen but I've got some confidence.

This is what it looked like to me. Just so strange...didn't look like he was trying to do any sort of pimping...he just pulled up like he was already in.

I think Mitch starts this week. Glennon was awful and I can't believe that they want to punt a game against the Packers.

i mentioned this at some point before, but green bay's defense is so bad. i know everyone wants to give trubisky that long week to prep for minnesota, but that's a much better defense than green bay. there's not gonna be some ideal scenario, but the vaunted packers are as easy a target as any.

Starting him Thursday also gives a division rival little time to prepare for a QB change. The Texans started Watson week 2, on a Thursday night. Of course, he did get into the game week 1. It wouldn't be the worst idea in the world to start him this week. If you think he honestly gives the team the best chance to win and today's win may have salvaged the team's chances at competing this year....you kinda have to play him this week.

Yeah in some ways I feel bad but man that kind of thing just cannot happen.

Oh well, we won despite it and I'm sure he learned his lesson.

Huge letters in the endzone. Run til you step on orange. No excuse for that play.

Agreed.

I'm still just in awe of how ridiculous this run was. He blew by guys, set them up for cutbacks and just made them look so dumb.

lost in that is the fact that he played a really really really good game.

Yea, our coverage in general was good, but Cooper stood out in particular.

Yeah I thought that other than that play he looked great. Even the dropped pick in the end zone was a great play outside of the drop. He boxed the receiver out really well and got himself in good position for the pick. I thought Fuller played really well too, Amukamara was PFF's top rated Bears player and apparently even Callahan played great. Again, they didn't get the picks, but there were tons of passes knocked away.

Also the o-line. There was tons of running room, and again this is with no passing game. Really good to see Long hit the ground running.

yeah, Fuller and Prince played well, too. each had 2 passes defended. Obviously, Brown is going to get his catches, but all week I heard about how great Martavis Bryant is and how he's going to destroy the Bears. He had two catches, good for him.

Now, Ben didn't exactly look all that great, but I think part of that was because he was trying to throw to covered receivers.

You can see how Cooper may struggle with PI and holding penalties at times, and I think he gets dinged for those. But most of that stems from his physicality and size.

Except for that initial miscommunication, with the blown coverage on Bryant at the beginning of the game, the Bears had some blanket coverage all day. Even Callahan got in on it. lol.

I was liking Grasu at C and Whitehair at G. Too bad. Hopefully they get Sitton back soon.

My favorite part is right at the end. The defender has a halfway decent angle on him and had at least a small chance of getting him before the end zone. I would guess most backs would continue to run toward the pylon and try to outrun the defender but Cohen instead cuts back and gets past the surprised defender easily. That's all instinct.

reminded me of Hester's return against the Cardinals in the crowning game.

"Hester with one man to beat.....he beat him!"

They're not starting Mitch on a short week heading to Green Bay. Week 5 is the earliest we'll see him.

As has been pointed out: GB defense kind of sucks so might actually benefit him to start vs GB instead of a better defense in Minnesota. Also, preparing for Trubisky on a short week with only preseason game film is just as difficult as preparing your QB for first start on a short week. But honestly how big of a deal is that anyways? If the Bears haven't been preparing him as if he were the starter every week, they are doing him and his development an injustice as well as the team an injustice because he is the backup QB and Glennon is a stiff whose injury is inevitable it seems.
