8/2 Diamondbacks (Godley) @ World Champion and First Place Cubs (Arrieta) 7:05 WGN

Wasn't sure how I was going to top GW homers by Heyward and Caratini but after coming close off the wall multiple times the last few year Lester finally did it and got his 1st ML homer!!

 

Then after struggling to score early on all weekend in Milwaukee the Cubs score early and often!! Not quite 20 but good enough, I guess.

 

After using Godley to net Miggy, which brought us #wearegood.. grand dongs in the nlcs...the 8th and final run of game 7...then lastly my pitchers don't hold runners, it's time to use Godley to boost our run differential!

 

I promise Jake is pitching this game, shut them down!!

A little surprised that Avila is starting tonight, I figured he'd start tomorrow against the tough RHP and catch his former teammate Quintana. Godley does have more LH-friendly splits though.

It's a day game after a night game for one. Also because Contreras is one of the hottest hitters in MLB and he's a much better defender behind the plate.
