So why exactly are people here clamoring over Gausman?

 

Because the orioles did that thing they love doing which is to take away a pitcher's best pitch.

 

Lol I still remember Bundy looking like a god like prospect throwing 100mph with a 98 mph cutter and the O's made him stop throwing it for like more sliders or something and his arm blew up instantly.

 

Poor kid

 

Yeah they think the cutter diminishes the straight fastball velocity so they opt for sliders. It's weird and it hasn't ever worked for them.

Yeah so much for that 2-0 Phillies lead, the Brewers just put up an 8 spot

 

I bet they sucked while scoring those 8 runs to get them 10 games over .500 though

 

I mean it's Nick Pivetta so they didn't have to be good.

This team just isn't very good

 

Agreed. Last season's runaway regular season best record having world series winner that brought back like 22 of it's 25 man roster isn't very good.l
