Well, that was a disappointing loss. Luckily it wasn't as disappointing as the loss that the powerhouse Brewers suffered against a team they assuredly should have beat: 19 strikeouts without a single walk. 5 home runs given up. Yikes.

Btw, since the start of 2016, the Brewers, as a team, have struck out in a higher percentage of PAs than Javier Baez.

Sure sounds like we shouldn't be trailing them still in the standings then. But no worries. We will beat them by 10 games and be resting guys for the playoffs in the last week of the season.

Also, why are we looking at numbers since the start of 2016?

Because they are basically the same shitty team they were last year. (Also, they are just edging Javy in K% this year.)

This time last year, they didn't have their first baseman (Thames), shortstop (Arcia), third baseman (Shaw), either catcher (Pina, Bandy) and two of their three outfielders were either in the minors or not playing every day (Santana and Broxton). But, yes, other than that, they are the same team as the one that started 2016.

Glad to see they K a lot. Now if we can just do better than them in runs, batting average, slugging and OPS we maybe really can beat them by 10 games.

This guy loves the brewers

Yeah, this is for sure going to be the preception moving forward, even though they are my most despised team in baseball. They are the Cardinals to many here.

It's already getting to the point where people keep thinking I said the Brewers were a powerhouse. I keep repeating that I don't think they are that good, just better than anybody else in this crappy division this year. But, I'll play the villain on this one.

the cubs will float around .500 up until the ASB. then, like last year, will come out hot after the break and play 10-12 games over .500 in the second half to easily win the division.

If you guys want to just continue this one then mods feel free to edit the title and keep this party going. I'm chasing a child around the house and can't at the moment - his mom should swing by later before the game so I'll catch up at some point.
