I had been so concerned about how we were going to replace Arrieta and Lackey, and now I can't wait for them to leave.

He's already punting the Kershaw game tomorrow because we always get dominated by Kershaw

 

I understand we beat him in the clinching game of the NLCS but it was after two big offensive games to turn the series around, the significance of that game gave the Cubs an extra push, and Kershaw was spent. If we get shut down again the rest of the way, it's hard to envision him not dominating us tomorrow.

 

Jon Lester just pitched one of the best games of his career his last time out and is also pretty good.

Happ chases way too many low breaking balls. He seems to have a good eye of the zone on balls in and off and lays off close pitches, in general. But he's got to quit Javy'ing those breaking balls in the dirt. Edited May 28, 2017 by Duke Silver

I think it needs to be Schwarber, because at least the other two still can put up value on defense while they struggle on offense.

Am I off-base in saying John Mallee completely sucks at his job and should be held largely accountable for the downfall of our young bats? Lump Hinske in there as well. I wonder how long Theo is going to abide this shitshow 3/5 of his pillars are putting forth.
