So Eddie isn't going to work either.

I'm not able to watch, whats wrong today? Looks just based on gameday like he has better control today at the very least.

what would the call have been if that had been ruled interference? it was clearly going to hit the basket (IMO) so it's not like it would have been caught. Would they call it a ground rule double?

I imagine so

Thanks. I didn't know how much discretion the umps have on that kind of stuff? Can they just assume it would be a double in that case? I mean it could have easily been a single or a triple (though probably not a single) depending on how it banged off the basket.

Nothing really. They've just hit some balls hard. He looked good that inning though.

Kyle Schwarber: hot garbage or hottest garbage?

his k/bb peripherals look exactly the same as 2015. he's had horrific babip luck at .224. not sure about his batted ball profile but it sure seems like he's been hitting the ball plenty hard when he has.

if you're actually at all interested in veering off your intentional meatballdom path (perfectly ok if you aren't), here's a breakdown

http://www.cubsinsider.com/2017/05/22/kyle-schwarber-soooooo-unlucky-season/

Going into Sunday’s contest against the Brewers, Schwarber had an underwhelming .293 wOBA. But his expected wOBA (xOBA) was .345, a difference that ranks 13th among 316 qualified hitters with at least 75 plate appearances.

I'm confused do people think Schwarber is actually bad now

I don't know I can't remember if Duke's last article about Schwarber was positive or negative. Whatever it was, I feel the opposite way.

I'm of the position that Duke should only author highly negative articles about players we hate

That way it either works, or we can roll in the schadenfreude

It was an affirmation that he is forever doomed.

every time I declare my love for a guy, the relationship goes sour. so I will forever point out all of the reasons why I will never get close to another again in the hopes that good things come

This guy gets it.
