That could have gone better. Anyway so the Cubs look to avoid going under .500 again and the weather is shaping up to be horsefeathers.

 

 

 

Lackey's past games in Coors have not all that well. 16.2 IP 17 ER 6 HR

At least it looks like Todd Helton's family had a good time.

 

 

The opposing pitcher is rookie Kyle Freeland who is lefty, throws low 90s fastballs, and doesn't strike out that many people.

Maybe the Rockies won't hit every one of Lackey's piped 91 mph fastballs into the seats.

I for one am looking forward to a 4-0 deficit after the first inning and then being gobsmacked when Lackey somehow pitches into the 7th.
