Maybe there's a thing(s) they've identified with Contreras that they want to work on and give him a break for a day or 2. Or else just general rest or he has a small tweak/injury. Or maybe they just like the matchup for Montero over Contreras or maybe I shouldn't be guessing what it is like an idiot.

 

Looking at that lineup though it appears they want lefties in there vs Nelson.
