I don't think it's going to matter as far as a championship this year goes, but Boston's going to be regretting that they didn't trade for Jimmy or PG during this playoff run. With one of those guys next to IT, I think they would've been able to give Cleveland all they can handle.

Bobby Portis looked just like Tyrus in G1 of that series back in 2009. Hopefully Niko's leash is much shorter the rest of the series if Bobby's going to play like that.

If it doesn't matter as far as a championship this year goes, then it doesn't matter.

Yesterday was annoying, but it's apparently going to do wonders for my enjoyment of the series with regards to this thread.

I could be wrong but I don't think there is very many, if any people, in this thread that care if the Bulls win this series.

If the Bulls DO win this series, it just sets them back even further. Hell, this one win may have convinced horsefeathering GarPax that this team can contend.

All I'm hoping for is for Jimmy to play well enough to convince Ainge to trade for him.

i care to the extent that i like seeing the celtics lose and i'm a big fan of jimmy and enjoy watching him play. does that count?

i completely disagree with all of this but this is a discussion we can have a week or two from now.

if losing this series gave me even a hint of hope that garpax would get fired, i'd be all about rooting for a loss, but that's not happening anytime soon no matter what. and i'll never ever be on board with trading an established prime aged superstar for horsefeathering draft picks in the nba draft.

and, sidenote, but if they were, i'm not even sure we'd get a halfway decent replacement and not just randy brown, pete myers, or some other random ass former bull that reinsdorf wants to show loyalty to.

Counterpoint: The first round is a waste of time and should be eliminated.

Don't think that's a valid counterpoint. 3 road underdogs won. Wouldn't be surprised if 2 underdogs win the series. At least 4 of the games were good games.

Who cares? Only 1 time ever has a team 5th seeded or lower won the NBA Championship...the 1995 Rockets. The 8th seed in each conference had a .500 record. The Bulls finished 4th in their own division! Stop putting those teams in the playoffs.

3 division winners and a wildcard in each conference is more than enough.

I like the rareness of the upset. It makes it more memorable and more iconic when it happens. I get why one would say the first round is pointless but there have been enough cool moments that I don't mind it. On the other hand, an extra round for good players to get hurt against teams that are under .500 sucks.

I still think annoying things will happen back in Chicago (or they could blow this because the 16-17 Bulls are too damn weird) but, uh, they could sweep this.

Really weird that when I did watch the Bulls this year it was hate watching and now all the sudden they are fun and exciting. I'll have to start over in the last row of the bandwagon but I'm back on baby!
