Yeah, exactly. I don't want the Bears to take Trubisky, but I want him available at 3. Otherwise, the Bears probably don't have much of an opportunity to trade back.

Ohio State cornerback Gareon Conley has been accused of rape by a woman who met him in a Cleveland hotel, according to TMZ. Conley, meanwhile, adamantly denies the allegations.

The woman alleges that Conley invited her to partake in a foursome. She declined and instead offered to watch the other three people have sex. Conley, she alleges, forced her to go from spectator to participant and had sex with her against her will. The woman went to the hospital for a rape kit, but refused to speak with police afterward.

Two of Conley’s friends were interviewed by police and they said that Conley never had intercourse with the woman. According to them, the woman was looking for revenge after being asked to leave the hotel room. Meanwhile, Conley’s attorney told Cleveland19 that the accusations against him are “ludicrous and ridiculous.”

I dont think that happens. It makes way more sense for Cle to actually use their considerable draft resources to move up than to pass on a prospect like Garrett.

I see a few reports that teams are struggling to clear Hooker medically. The amount of smoke this year is insane. Possibly due to a lack of teams wanting to move up.

 

I genuinely have no idea when the QB's go.....Bovada has it at 3.5 on how many go in the 1st. Trubisky at 10.5, Watson at 25.5, Mahomes at 24.5.....

 

I'll guess it goes this way.....

 

5) Trubisky goes to Cleveland, Tennessee gets pick 12, 52, and Houston's 2nd next year.

 

22) Mahomes goes to Chicago. Miami gets 36 and next years 2nd.

 

25) Watson goes to Houston

 

42) Saints take Webb

 

59) KC takes Peterman

 

62) Pitt takes Kizer

 

That said, as wrong as that is......Outside of being sure Garrett eventually goes 1st, its really hard to know for sure who even is guaranteed being a top 10 pick. Circumstances could literally push just about anyone else out.

Very interesting mock from Hoge. I love Thomas. Evans is one of my favorite Safeties. Godwin? I'm OK with him, but probably prefer taking a TE, like Everett or Shaheen in the 3rd, maybe Butt, if he's healthy enough.

 

Kaaya in the 4th is A-OK with me. Walker is great value and probably upgrades Kwiatkowski. Phillips is good value and has upside in the 5th.....

 

But, what makes this mock is taking Conley in the 7th.....I mean, its a 7th. If he's guilty, cut him. Cut him if there's even a remote doubt he did it. But, on the off chance its 100% clear he's innocent, you just got a 1st rounder in the 7th and don't have to compete with every other team in trying to sign him as an UDFA.

 

Too risky? With McDonald not too far in the rear view. Or can this be done and it make sense?

Dream scenarios:

1 - trade back with Carolina - a couple second day picks would be great in this draft

2 - trade back with Cleveland - next years first would be the best thing, at least a couple second day picks would be in order

3 - one of 1 or 2 plus a trade back into the first to get the QB you want

4 - pick your favorite at 3 - Adams, Thomas, Lattimore, Trubisky, Watson - any would be great additions

Seriously, you may not agree. But its definitely possible our top choice at QB COULD be there and YES, it'd be worth doing, if Pace believes in the guy.

 

I think you must think every team has these guys evaluated the exact same.

 

Hell, I'm OK with not taking a QB at all this year.
