Don't think we are close..... CJ, Heyward, Javy, Russell, Jay, Montero, Contreras, Strop, Rondon, Almora. That's 40% of the roster that's not white.

Arrieta is half Puerto Rican (I think), does that count?

He's 1/4 Puerto Rican.

I thought Arrieta was Italian, which disqualifies him from being white as well.

It's his grandfather, don't know what side of his family.

Then he's not Puerto Rican. I think he can still covert though.

He was making a poor joke about Judaism, I think.

It's a pretty common reference.

You guys should know not to take any of what I say seriously by now.

I know it is. That's why I explained it for you.

Georgie going with a boring number in KC, perhaps trying to gain some Schwarbness

He was # 24 for most of his stops in the minors but Valbuena had that. Umber when Soler came up to the big leagues.

"horsefeathers kneeling and horsefeathers oaths, I've got a number for you."

Just looked at Soler's stats. The dude has doubled-down on a patient approach (40% swing) and is showing a strong discernment on pitches to swing at... and he's been rewarded with a 250 wOBA. Of course he still pours on the negative defensive value. He horsefeathering sucks.

Wonderful trade by Theoyer. Really hope this gives us a slight inside edge to bringing Davis back after the season. Doubtful but who knows.

What I will say is that I proposed Soler + Grimm for Justin Wilson before the season and let's just say, the idea was not met with positive responses. Who cares. No big deal.

But JFC that would have been a coup. Wilson has been ridiculous. Now he's gonna get a massive haul if they move him at the deadline.

Meh, Davis is better and only cost half the players.

Wilson has another year of control and Grimm sucks. But this isn't to argue that this would have been a better deal than the Davis deal. Only that my proposal was not nearly as awful as it was deemed at the time.

People were more critical of you going on a pro-Wilson posting rampage and, when pressed, that you wanted to give up two players for him. Instead the Cubs got Davis for just Soler.

also we still thought/hoped that soler had more value at the time. if we knew that one year of davis was soler's worth, a jorge for wilson swap would have been received a little differently.

I was correctly declaring Soler to be handsome garbage a while ago. You may all praise me now.

i seem to remember you sticking on the bandwagon a little longer than most, but when you turned, you turned hard
