Good grief. Opposite of my poor Rebs who are -121 this season in second half. They infamously blew two 21 point leads against Bama and FSU.

The way they were going, I didn't think either of these games would be worth watching in the 4th quarter. As it turned out, they both are.

I think they drop OSU from 2 to 3 as a token gesture (since they didn't play in their championship game) which means nothing, of course

So here is where the idea of announcing playoff rankings every week comes back to bite the committee in the ass: if they move anyone out of the top four to put in Penn a state or Michigan or whoever, they now have to justify why they took someone else out. I get that they do it to get people to be interested and to give sports media something to write and talk about, but it would be so much cleaner for them to just announce the four without the build up. You'd still have schools mad that they didn't make it, but you could more easily justify putting the Big Ten champ in over Washington when you haven't had Washington in the top four all year. It's just become the same poll system we've always hated

Seems pretty set at this point. No matter how much anyone tries to create controversy....this really is kind of cut and dry

Having a non conference champ in just bugs me but it makes sense. Bama isn't losing though so it's moot.

I wish I could have seen Michigan play Bama even though I agree Washington, Clemson and OSU (if you think their win over Michigan was legit #stillirrationallybitter)) were more deserving. I'm not sure our offense could get more than 14-17 points against them but I'd love to see if our D could shut them down. Oh well

I wish the auto tie-ins were looser and we could see Penn State play Oklahoma in a bowl game. I think seeing the two Power Five champs who didn't make the playoff would be a marquee game

Aren't you gonna get USC in the Rose Bowl? That's a pretty marquee game

It is, but I think there's something to the idea of the two remaining champs playing each other. USC is a good game, but they have 3 losses and didn't even play in their title game
