A hearty thanks in this game goes out to Adam Warren, Gleyber Torres, Billy McKinney, and Dan Vogelbach for getting us huge outs to clinch this game.

OK, it's a new day and I'm still seeing headlines and TV coverage and social media... I think this championship thing is 100% legit and not a dream!

I've cried multiple times since last night. I am utterly, emotionally drained. Everything that usually goes against the Cubs turned out FOR the Cubs. That Davis home run would have been the end for any previous Cubs team...but not this team...not...this...team...

I see so many people posting here, facebook, twitter...and I'm grateful so many people are able to express their emotions about this...because I'm utterly unable.

I can tell you this much....I have the game and 3 different channels worth of postgame recorded, and that dvr will be buried with me.

I did kinda feel bad for the guy when it was reported that he was crying after giving up the homer.

Also, Jed said this morning that Chapman begged to pitch the 9th after giving up that homer. Wanted to hold the lead.

But yeah, glad it was someone else.

I just want to say, before 'Chapman choked but we pulled it out anyway' becomes the storyline we remember: He went out in the 9th completely gassed and threw up a 0 for us against the top of their order, and i dont know if anybody else in that bullpen would have accomplished that. Thank you, Chapman. Now go sign somewhee else.

I'll say this for Chapman, I was so destroyed after that homerun I had to turn off the TV for 5 minutes because I couldn't even deal. That stadium was going completely nuts. I don't know how he was able to compose himself and make it through the 8th and then go back out there in the 9th for three more outs. Given the accounts of how emotional he was, he was aware of the infamy and the legacy he was staring at. I don't know how he didn't fall apart. Physically running on fumes to boot. Edited by Elrhino

As much as I hate Joe Buck, his call "This is gonna be a tough play, Bryant...The Cubs Win the World Series" will be played over and over and over!

I liked his pennant winning call. this one was kinda anticlimatic.
