This is totally happening: I walked into the supermarket after work and guess what was playing over the intercom?

"We Are Family"

Has to be a sign right?

That you've been sucked back to the 1970's? Maybe

You do know the significance of that song in WS history right?

I realized today that since the Indians' streak of no world series championships is hella long too, their fans must be secretly stressing right now. Imagine if we went up 3-1 to a superior (even if just slightly) team, then failed to close out in Game 5 then came home with arrieta and lester on short rest? I'd be pretty confident on the outside but internally id be freaking out.

wouldn't this be closer to coming home with Lackey and Hammel on short rest after Lester and Arrieta went to the DL last month?

^^^Unfortunately, many people w/ whom I've argued about Chief Wahoo would be perfectly fine w/ those other 2 options for team mascots, if you catch my drift.

Yeah, it would be having Lackey or Hammel in Game 6 and then Lester in Game 7.

I thought the Cubs were going to blow the division series late game 4. I know I'm not alone there.

The pressure has shifted. Hopefully that means some of the Cubs stop playing like ass while the Indians start.

I must've written in code unbeknownst to me.

Kind of crazy..I don't know if it's because it's Halloween or because I've been watching the Bears and Bulls but for some reason today it felt like the baseball season is over. I have to keep reminding myself that I watched the Cubs win a World Series game less than 24 hours ago and will see them play again tomorrow.

The season has changed, I'm making my thanksgiving plans for 4 weeks from now, and this just feels so unusual that we're still playing. I kind of like it.

My feeling like that comes from the win last night. After going down 3-1, I just wanted the Cubs to win a game at Wrigley and not go down with a whimper like last season vs the Dodgers. I can exhale a little now, relax, and ease into Game 6 without being such a nervous wreck. Well, until Game 7. I'll be a total horsefeathers show if that happens.

Yeah, I had this feeling too. Deep down we all expected the Cubs to lose yesterday because it would've just seemed familiar. Now, it seems impossible that the Cubs can make a cool season recap video that anticlimacticly ends with Chapman closing game 5. We're destined for something much, much greater.

Mets, whatever. Just as painful.
