They hit at least 3 balls today off kluber and miller that would've been home runs yesterday and they could get it out of the inflield against some phucking scrub who gave up more home runs that 99% of the league. Yeah that irritated me.

Prior to last night's game, USSoccer was taking heat for thinking that the wind blowing out would negatively affect the approach of our young hitters. I didn't think it would, but watching the game and looking at the percentage of swings they took at pitches outside of the zone, I think that's exactly what happened.

Being beaten outright I can accept, but giving away a game you should win by abandoning the approach that brought you success all year is just infuriating.

Who takes responsibility for this - players, Mallee, Maddon, front office?

I'm not one for assigning blame, but if I had to, it'd be the players, as I'm sure it was addressed. Just a lot of trying to do too much. But they're kids.

I shut it off. Joe Buck's misery porn is too much for me to handle. Going to go throw up for a few hours and cry myself to sleep.

I would really reconsider the impact sports has on your well-being. That isn't healthy.

This is my favorite post in the history of ever.

Meh. Hopefully Maddon will do some inspirational horsefeathers and the kids will start having fun again. Otherwise, NL champs is still pretty cool.

Ironic, isn't it? ^_^

I know a large majority of this occurred either during or before a period where the word Nazi was a word related to a current event, but how the heck does one team go 2-14 lifetime in World Series games at their home ballpark?

If we win tomorrow, hopefully Joe can institute a dress up for the plane ride to Cleveland or bring in a magician.

Do we need to assign blame? It's a very young team that was pressing against very good pitching.

The front office, Joe and the hitting coach? They won 103 games and are struggling in the World Series. What "responsibility" are you looking for?

we'll probably never have a better team than this, and we'll probably never have a more favorable world series matchup. i am not just happy to be here. we're blowing it, again.

horsefeathers you lackey, and horsefeathers you cubs

Just get one tomorrow with Lester vs. short rest Bauer. Get it to Cleveland with Jake vs. short rest Tomlin. Then you've got one game with Kyle vs. Kluber for the 3rd time in 8 days.

That's what I'm worried about. So many things went right this season and now they're losing to a team missing two of its three best pitchers and one of their two best players.

Winning game 7 is going to be fun.

I just made the trip to the future in my time machine, and all I'm allowed to say without causing all kinds of trouble is: You're not wrong.

Also: Having an NFL team in London turns out to be a horrible idea. But you probably guessed that already.
