We obviously need a good Arrieta start tomorrow more than any of his other starts, but...at what point does this whole 'I need Montero to catch for me' become an issue?

Anyway, that's about as good as a 6-0 loss can go. Miller threw a ton of pitches, the Indians scored on a fluke BABIP inning and 2 home runs from Roberto Perez, who took time off from his home on the spaceship from Wall-E to play in the World Series. Even if they don't win tomorrow it's not the end of the world, but do what you've done the whole postseason and tee off on any pitchers that aren't Top 5 relievers or Cy Young contenders.

After NLDS Game 3, I thought the Cubs were doomed and going to lose the series.

After NLCS Game 3, I thought the Cubs were doomed and going to lose the series.

Guys, the Cubs are doomed and are going to lose this series.

Tonight was a must win for the Indians, but a luxury for the Cubs. Also, even though we were shut out, this game has a much different feel than the times we were shut down in the NLDS and NLCS.

No concern for me.

Meh. They can have this one. Kluber is great and was great tonight. Tip your cap like you did when Kershaw got us. Dong the hell out of the rest of their rotation, which is a joke. We're fine. All this did was eliminate the chance of us sweeping. Schwarber looked good. Miller was ultimately wasted. Time to tie it up and go to Wrigley.

any chance schwarber can be cleared to play the field by friday

I mean medically/physically he's "cleared." It's just a matter of if they feel comfortable with him out there defensively with all this time off.

Sometime in 2017, if then.

Does that mean you prefer Montero tomorrow over Contreras? It's not like Willson is some terrible defensive/framing catcher. I mean, if he can catch for Hendricks, why not Jake?
