I think Hendry did a very good job considering he was an outdated, backwards baseball-insider GM without a vision of any kind, and no real baseball resources to draw from.

 

I pictured him running the Cubs, alone, from a small room marked "Scouting Department", watching the 1985 World Series on a black-and-white TV while eating a huge bucket of fried chicken and making calls on a bag phone he brought in from his '95 Expedition.

feels good to see a qb who can actually throw touchdowns and not just rack up high yardage totals between the 20s
