A VERY fancy-pants country club (Augusta Country Club, which has property that looks down on Amen Corner from behind the 12th green of the Masters) is hosting a free golf tournament today for the military. They're also providing free lunch and dinner catered by a chef they keep on payroll. I've been looking forward to this all year.

 

Now it's just a way to kill some time waiting for the next CUBS game.

I just want to remind anyone that's worried that the Dodgers are 8-9 in the playoffs when Kershaw pitches, 4-9 before this year. I don't think anyone is necessarily thinking this, but just a reminder that Kershaw does not equal Cubs loss. We've got this.

Dude I don't know, maybe I'm just lame but I need a day off to savor the last 2 wins and prepare for tomorrow. My stomach has not allowed me to eat or digest food properly since the last off day. Need to recoup.

 

Plus a Saturday game is much more enjoyable than Friday. I can get there early and soak up the scene before finding a bar to watch the game.
