Hey Smoltz, how about giving Baez credit for the sacrifice fly? If you are going to continually question his ability to advance runners, maybe acknowledge when he does exactly what he is supposed to do.

 

Javys playoff approach has been fantastic and instead of constant reminders of LEG KICK STRIKEOUTS SWING SWING SWING perhaps they could point out that he's seemingly slowed down his ABs to the point where he's our best hitter through 8 playoff games.

They're stuck on the narrative from earlier in the season and his career and can't let it go.

I missed it. What did Plaschke say? I sure it was gold.

 

LOL @ Buck's silence on the pitchcast replay for the called strike 3. Buck/Smoltz is GREAT when the Cubs are in a laugher.

I did a terrible and long rendition of an FJM article in a thread recently about how he was saying the cubs were evil and unfair to the dodgers because they got the prime time spots.

 

then after last night he was saying "the cubs are terrible, they are horrible" or something along those lines. it's in some thread but I have no idea where now. he's a hack writer and despicable and doesn't deserve the attention you or I should ever give him.

They were fine game 1. They turned weird after Kershaw gave them a Dodger boner.
