This has gone WAYYYY too far under the radar. Rose really hasn't helped himself any either...he keeps undermining his own case in depositions...

In his June 17 deposition, lawyers asked Rose about consent. One of Doe’s lawyers read aloud that section of Rose’s sworn deposition—which is not available to the public—during today’s press conference. Here is that segment that was read aloud to reporters on the call:

 

Question: Do you have an understanding as to the word consent?

 

Derrick Rose: No. But can you tell me?

 

Question: I just wanted to know if you had an understanding.

 

Derrick Rose: No.

Also, like the Deadspin article says, Rose's lawyers are stupid for not settling with the girl. Rose looks like an idiotic scumbag the more the details of this deposition leak. Even if everything was innocent he's killing his reputation by letting this drag out. Of course I blame the lawyers when it may well be Rose in his complete lack of self-awareness and inability to grasp what is happening that is demanding it go to trial because he thinks if he is not found liable everything will go back to normal..
