I don't know if they worked with him on the 10 days he didn't pitch to start August, or the first couple of appearances were fluky or what, but Montgomery has looked real good in August.

Jesus, Montgomery looks pretty horsefeathering solid, to have gotten him for Vogelbach. I really do think he's a starter for us by 2018, on a full-time basis.

 

And Cahill going the rest of the game is just ridiculously good for the pen.
