So if Cahill is starting game 1, what is the roster move that was made? As I understand it, the 26th man can only be made available for the 2nd game of a DH.

no move. the 26th man is good for the day, not the 2nd game

Yeah I just looked it up. If the DH was scheduled less than 48 hours in advance then the 26th guy can only play in the 2nd game for some reason

Coghlan is such a squeaking fart of a baseball player. There's a weird contingent of Cubs fans online that inexplicably love him, or seem to think he's destined for great things.

He was decent at the plate last year. This year he sucks at hitting, looks weird as horsefeathers, does some weird neck flip thing every pitch he takes, is still bad at defense, and occasionally occupies a spot I'd rather see almost anyone else on our team filling.
