Cubs are getting a lot of solid contact, attacking early in the count. They might get to him or he might pitch 8-9 innings with a low pitch count

Heyward swung at the right pitch, fastball down the middle, but did nothing with it. Maybe it was a little more up and in than a lefty would like it

Maybe I saw it wrong, but it looked like he tangled himself up on the swing, it didn't look smooth at all

sometimes i can't tell if some of the crazy things we do on the bases are by some genius maddon/theo design to try to force the other team to make a mistake (like that) or if we're just loose cannons

And I can't decide if I like it or not.

In defense of Willson there he's kinda in no mans land on that ball, he has to go a decent ways in case it drops so the initial play makes sense. But the tag after the throw home was pretty reckless

Guys what happened guys?

Fowler on third, Contreras on first, 1 out. Rizzo hits a short fly to left, Fowler can't go home, but for some reason Contreras had gone with contact. Left fielder throws to try to double up Contreras but the throw is offline, allowing Fowler to score. Contreras is then caught trying to advance to second.

on the one hand, i kinda agree... on the other, it was decently close and he would've been moving into scoring position with 2 outs.

I have a hunch that a good angle shows he's safe
