All the WTF's....

Wtf does that mean? He's just gonna chill at home until he is called up, traded or released?

Daring the team to dump him so he can go somewhere with more playing time

Maybe we can wait until after the season and trade him back to the Braves. See how much he likes playing there.

He probably just decided to follow the Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons tour. Which is apparently a thing and they are currently on tour according to stubhub

but to be serious for a second, it would suck to have completely alienated La Stella forever because our Pet Chris Coghlan came back, who sucks in every way much more than La Stella

Yeah, but they didn't do anything unusual; it was a matter of who had options and who didn't. If he can't handle that, he can go suck on a sardine.

True, but also...how horsefeathering sensitive do you have to be to throw a tantrum like this? Be a horsefeathering grown up. Jesus.

it is somewhat unusual to send down a useful player to make room for a useless piece of trash.

Sensitive? It is in his careers best interest to be in the big leagues and he has no business being in AAA. He's being screwed as an overly conservative precaution (the theory that losing coghlan would have negative effects).

Is not showing up to AAA in his career's best interest? What's to be gained? Pissing off his employer?

Yeah, he got a raw deal. But he can't do horsefeathers about it. The trade deadline is passed (maybe they try to get him through waivers?), and he's under team control through 2017.

Hey, he can piss everyone off and get cut and make it back to the majors on a crap team. That'll be way better than waiting in AAA for a few weeks and then rejoining a championship caliber team

It probably would be, for career purposes. If he can play more frequently on a lesser team he will have a better chance of making enough money to live off the rest of his life. A career backup isn't going to make bank.

Nah. He's being an idiot.

That presumes anyone is going to sign him to be a starter instead of realizing that a pretty obvious reason for his success is his selective playing time as a backup mostly against RH pitchers.

It also presumes that Derwood is right and that they'd cut him. I don't see any reason why they would. He's being a dick...why would they do him a favor?
