-Immediately surrender tie

 

Is going on like 10 games. Amazing.

I believe they've allowed 27 HRs in both June and July. I believe that's right because I saw a stat last night that it was at 27 and 23 and the Pirates hit 4 HR since then

Yeah, it's one thing to be sure they're nowhere near this bad and will straighten things out, but it's another to continually be insisting there's nothing to worry about. It's a good starting rotation, but it's far from impossible that we're seeing some serious regression/age issues contributing hugely to this.

Awwww defensive condescension doesn't look good on you. The cold streak is not illiciting irrational responses because they've pissed away 9 games on the team in second place and have done so rather quickly. They've gone from world beater to the worst divisional leader in the NL. If Arrieta sucks like he has then this team is in deep horsefeathers. The rebuild accelerated because he turned into an ace.

 

Yes they're still good and they're not some non playoff team but they are not the historic team we all thought they were after 32 games. You getting on your high horse and pretending like this current stretch by our staff doesn't concern you is laughable.

Yeah it's not like the pitching has been BABIP'd to death. They've been allowing a ton of hard contact and their control has been spotty to go along with it. if there are mechanical issues here then figure them out quickly. If the velocities are dropping than that's a big concern
