Even if Bryant is done for the season, he was going to suck in the playoffs, because he can't hit good pitchers and he struggled in the playoffs last year, proving he is not clutch. That might be the best news for this team.

Right.

Do you think people with such fatalistic tendencies to think that one injury would end the season just have less of a filter than others? Or are they hiding even darker thoughts somehow? Do they constantly check FlightAware while the team is travelling to make sure there aren't any mid-air collisions? Do they look up the health inspection report of the hotel restaurants where the team stays? How is following the team enjoyable at all?

lol...okay

Are you kidding? This team can't afford to loose it's best hitter for an extended amount of time. They have been substantially crippled by injury already. Your living in a fantasy world if you think an injury to Bryant wouldn't kill this team.

Oh, also: Rizzo is still the team's best hitter. Bryant is a better overall player, but Rizzo is still a better hitter.

I won't argue that because it might be true. I think losing Bryant would probably lead to our losing the division and having to scratch out a wildcard. This offense has had some real problems as it is scoring against even mediocre pitching losing Bryant just compounds that.

Nice watch by Contreras on the 2-1 pitch

Even though he ended up flying out, I loved that whole AB. I know he's barely been up, but he just seems so sure of himself at the plate.

Please read my front page article from today. I knew I wrote that for a reason.

Again, do you realize what the division lead is? Bryant is damn good, but THAT good?

double digit runs feel nice (just need a precautionary Bryant injury report to make me feel awesome). Knee contusion update would work just fine.

Bryant left with a "lower left leg contusion".

Sounds like he just came out because he came out because of the big lead.

At least for myself, anything short of winning the World Series this year is a failed season, and I can't see how they pull it off without Bryant AND Schwarber.

I'm not watching the game but I assumed since he finished the inning and came off the field somewhat fine, it was a pre-cautionary pull and he'll be day to day at worst.

Prepare yourself for like a 75% or better chance of disappointment no matter who is healthy and whom they may acquire at the deadline.

Shut up, he's never going to play again and we're going to lose every game, but it won't matter, because we're going to die, and it's going to be awful.

Good point. That would literally be impossible.

Geez, I hope you realize how poor their chances are they will win the World Series.
