Not only was that guy in the stands dressed as a banana, I'm pretty sure he was wearing a black Power Rangers uniform underneath the banana costume.

This was always going to be "you made me bleed my own blood" game. It still is. We'll see if the Marlins can keep up.

He wasn't even [expletive] competitive that inning. [expletive] off Hendricks.

what do you mean "competitive"? he was missing his spots and was squeezed on a few pitches (most notably a strike three to Ozuna).

ETA: All 4 runs were unearned because of the error to start the inning.

He was nibbling with a 4 run lead to back to back hitters including a guy who's getting dominated in the zone every at bat with rare exceptions. He walks them both then grooves a pitch to Bour. That's not being competitive because at no point in the Ozuna/Stanton at bats did he remotely challenge.

Unearned runs are an awful statistic because he created the majority of the traffic that inning himself and of course gave up the dong.

it's kyle hendricks' game. it's what he does. maybe he did a little too much, but if he threw his 88 mph fastball over the heart of the plate the entire inning it would have been just as bad if not worst. like i said, he missed his spots a bit and then threw a bad pitch to bour. he also had an error and got squeezed on a strike three call that clearly caught the zone. it's frustrating, but it's baseball. Hendricks' being "competitive" means he's nibbling. He's not a pitcher that can challenge hitters. his command and control are good most of the time. unfortunately they weren't for much of the first inning.

I hate everything about the Marlins org. The owner, the empty stadium with ugly ass walls that look like green screens, the fact that their logo is as colorful as it is but still somehow boring as [expletive]

All the flamboyant colors are a cryout for attention because of the low participation

Totally fair. I was mostly just really pissed off for like 10 minutes.

do they really blast that [expletive] horn in the middle of a pitch? how is that allowed?

EXACTLY

I guess they don't want to eject anyone because of lack of fans and all

Baez's play will spark this offense to 2-3 runs this inning. book it!
