Not a huge fan of sitting KB today. Not that it really matters. I would have rather gave him Wednesday off vs Strasburg if the idea is to give him a day before or after an off day. I really want to step on the Pirates throat. But again, it doesn't really matter.

 

In reality, the Nationals games are (rather, were) more important at this point.

We have 2 theories left. Bryant can only play in so many day games because his eyes are too light blue that it affects his vision, so they limit him.

5 and 6 games behind us in the loss column. How much do you expect the best team to separate themselves from the second best team over 60 games or so?

 

The Cubs have been 5-5 in their last 10, Nats 8-2 so you are looking at this during a valley. Could just as easily see the Cubs go 8-2 and Nats 5-5 in their next 10
