Velasquez has good stuff. We destroyed him last time around but we aren't swinging the bats quite as well as we were 2 weeks ago. Really interested to see what adjustments he makes and what adjustments we make. We might only win this one by 3-4 runs.

Happy Almora is in but would rather him hit lower than 6th

I dare the Phillies to hit anything to the OF

Don't really have a problem with him hitting ahead of those two guys.

It's not completely ridiculous or anything but Baez at least is clearly a better hitter. Montero was until he injured his back.

AKA I am not particularly high on Almora the hitter (although using nothing but B-R to form my opinion) and hope to be proven wrong.

I'm not certain about that at all. Montero is the one I was iffy on.

>Having to research who the Phillies beat writer is to get their line-up because @Phillies is too slow to retweet

Me too! He has 23 HR in 1623 professional PA, so hitting 2 in 4-5 PA would be amazing.

Sounds like there might be delays here, but only early on, should get this in eventually.

Philly is under a severe thunderstorm warning. Hopefully they just let the rains clear before starting so we don't have to yank Lackey after a delay.

how 'bout we just play at 7pm when its sunny?

Honestly it makes absolutely no sense why this is a day game. Both teams have off days tomorrow. Cubs have a short flight to Atlanta, Phillies an even shorter trip to DC. You'd think the Phillies would like to sell more tickets by having a night game given those circumstances.

I don't know if I can get myself to care about lineup construction at all, even with Heyward bumbling around at the 2 spot.

The only thing I care about lineup construction is making sure to not have two oft-time hackers like Javy and Soler (when he was alive) back-to-back because it made the situations when they came up in rallies into me wanting to break dishware moments

But thats for my own mental wellbeing and not like, sound lineup construction
