Yeah but that's not what you said. It's May 4th. Lester had a 1.76 ERA in May last year. He had terrible BAPIP luck in April, as evidenced by a 6.23 ERA and a 2.21 FIP. He's really good, along with the rest of this team. Enjoy it.

Sorry I didn't equate the time frame, and I didn't realize Lester was that good last May. I just remember last april vs. how he ended the season.

In general it's just safe to not "remember" a time when Lester was bad with the Cubs because Lester has been a great pitcher for the Cubs.

More of a function of our bad luck at the start of last season I think.

hahahaha we chase their pitcher out after 4.1 IP . I looooove this team

It gets kinda boring when we do this every game.

I'm sorry. It's not boring.

This team is fungood.

Last Year Lester would not have produced the same results that inning

13th best pitcher in baseball Last Year Lester? Good call.

Just because Rondon Fan isn't here doesn't mean we need someone to take his place.

Lester was fine at the end of the season and was good. He just had a bad start if you recall.

If you just take off his first 4 starts he had a 2.99 ERA in his other 28 starts and opponents had a .228 BA/.642 OPS hitting against hi,

There's no reason to ever be bored with a good baseball team because a good baseball team trouncing another one is always 10000000x more exciting than a bad team, even if that bad team is in more "exciting" games. I root and expect curbstompings every night out.

As much as I want walks or dongs every at bat, I kinda hate watching people run the bases. I'm the most ultra-conservative baserunner watcher, even if that isn't optimal and isn't what this team is good at (they're very good at running the bases), just at an emotional level, I haaaaaaaate seeing someone thrown out on the bases.

i want javy to get a position player pitching appearance so bad but we're never gonna have a tired enough bullpen and we'll never be that deep in extras

The David Ross inning was pretty great last year

We know Jordy Mercer will be safe because its literally impossible for us to get him out

The Cubs run differential in 2.5 games this series (+15) is better than 22 of the other 29 teams for the entire season.
