Arizona had a reliever just make the jump from High A to the Majors (queue "more like High A to AA, amirite?" posts) this weekend, and I'm wondering what other players of note have done this? I know that Jim Abbott went straight from college to the Majors, but are there some other notable guys who've jumped from A to the show and stuck there?

I want to say Chris Sale and Carlos Rodon either pitched like no, or very few minor league innings.

Edit: Sale pitched 4 innings at A+ and 6 at AAA before coming up, Rodon pitched 12 innings between rookie ball and A+ then 22 innings at AAA before coming up

I've seen the "never played in the minors" list, just can't find anything on jumps from A to MLB. Thanks, though.

Mike Morgan makes the list. He was drafted June 6th right out of high school. He made his major league debut 5 days later.

Can you imagine graduating from high school, then finding yourself on a major league mound in less than two weeks? I think I was drunk for the first two weeks after I graduated.

Jose Fernandez of the Marlins, unless you count rehab.

I remember when that happened I was like "Hahaha, look at the stupid Marlins! What a dumb move,he's gonna get shelled!"
