I don't recall thinking it was ever a particularly great idea. Not because I was opposed to trading him, but rather because I didn't think we'd get anything remotely valuable for a guy who showed off a 40+% strike rate in his first cup of coffee. He was a lot like a lotto ticket in those days, even moreso than most prospects...
