Does this mean we're gonna get a doubleheader at some point? I love doubleheaders (as bad as they may be for managers and potentially for the health of the team, as evidence suggests)

Nah I think someone said that the Brewers and Cubs have a common off day the day before the next series at Wrigley in August

August 15th before we start a 3 game series with them both have off. We don't have issues with playing too many games in row for that date either as there's an off day the week prior to the 15th and after for us. I know there's some rule the players have to vote to play a day that would make them pass a certain threshold of consecutive games played. That appears to be an issue with the Brewers, if they schedule a game for the 15th they wouldn't have an off day for 27 days dating from August 5th-August 31st. Sept 1 would be their next off day.

Plenty of time left in the season to schedule a makeup on an off day.

It took me way too long to figure out this post was about the "sandwich" part and not some kind of mysterious dick joke.

Amazing having a pitcher who I'm still 100% confident in not allowing runs even with bases loaded and less than 2 down.

31 pitches tho :?

Helps that its the brewers

I think after the broken bat single and stolen bases leaving 1b open he was just being careful with Braun/Lucroy as the only real threats in the lineup more than it was Jake losing his command.
