Taijuan Walker is looking like a breakthrough guy this year. Big start for him against Houston. He might have been average 96 on his fastball and 90 on the changeup.

I wonder if he finally committed to lengthening his stride, iirc Law is always harping about that with him. He usually has a short stride towards home that Law thinks hurts him and the few times he's lengthened it he's had positive results but just hasn't been able to do it consistently.

The Sox can stop winning any time now. I'll be damned if we're going to share this glory with those crosstown.

So you're the guy that Logan's friend was referring to....

They will, 27th in offense. Their pitching has been great though, lets see how long that will last.

Although I would love a Cubs WS victory over the Sox this year.

I like it because if its anything like 2008, the Cubs still get 80% of the coverage and we get to hear Sox fans complain about being irrelevant still.

But yeah congrats on the Sox, only 0.5 games behind the Cubs. They've also now scored as many runs this year as runs the Cubs have outscored their opponents by.

Right now, if I were to do a power rankings based on team quality, it would both start and end with 7 NL teams.

I feel like the Cubs, Nats, Dodgers, Cards, Mets, Pirates and Giants are better than the best AL team (White Sox? by default)

I feel like the Braves, Brewers, Reds, Padres, Marlins, Phillies, and Rockies are worse than the worst AL team (Is it really the Astros now? Hell, the Twins are even respectable.)

Don't know if anyone still cares but Cashner got lit up again today. I always thought he'd be a great starter but i'm glad we got Rizzo for him

Maybe this Goldschmidt guy is actually good, and not just some random Cub Killer. He just took Wainwright deep. It was the second homer of the night giving up by Wainwright, who carries a 7.18 ERA.

Same old [expletive], but much less annoying with a healthy division lead.
