I have no problem with Ben Zobrist: useful player, but I'm kinda weirded out by Ben Zobrist: possible psycho loner. Given that is a team filled with lovable miscreants and scalawags, is he really as quiet and relatively removed from everything as I think he is? Prove me wrong by posting examples of Ben Zobrist being a cool dude. Edited by Sammy Sofa

He was universally loved by teammates and the community in Tampa. There was genuine sadness when he left the Rays.

Sure; but that's Florida. Creepy weirdos thrive there.

Yeah, you're not horsefeathering kidding. This place is weird as hell, unless you love bath salts and meth. Then it's pretty normal.

He is an outspoken Christian and leads bible studies with teammates and stuff. His wife is a Christian singer and he uses one of her songs for his walk up music.

Dammit, this isn't the "post horsefeathers we already know about Zobrist" thread; get out there and find evidence of Zobrist being normal.

My son played an American legion game in Eureka last summer. Zobrists number is retired there, but the large baseball with his name and number was laying behind the home dugout. Plus the whole field was kind of a dump.

Doing a Google search for "Ben Zobrist cool guy" brings back an interview with Chris Coghlan saying he wants to be a "sexy and cool utility guy" like Zobrist. Seeing as Coghlan himself seems like a bit of a creepy weirdo, this is not helping things.

Creepy weirdo for sure.

Joe wanted him over a beautiful Starlin Castro. Thats all I need to know.

Ugh! There's nothing beautiful about Castro, and you can be sure the front office preferred Zobrist to Castro as well. Say what you want about Zobrist, at least he's capable of fielding a routine grounder without being distracted by the sky.

Guys; you're getting sidetracked; as previously said, nobody has an issue with Ben Zobrist: productive player. What we are looking for is the elusive proof that he is not a creepy weirdo.
