True. He did flail at a breaking ball low and way outside and swung through high heat. But he did get to a 3-ball count. So... improvement?

 

Good improvement on not flailing and fouling a ball off, but the issues on hitting balls in the strike zone are still there. He'll need to make progress on his 2 strike approach this season.

I'm a Len & JD fan first, Cubs fan second.

I'm a little younger than much of this board so I heavily identify Len as the voice of the Cubs (I really started paying attention after the 2003-2004 teams and Len started in 05 I believe) and I still miss Bob quite a bit. Even if he was wrong on a bunch of things they were a great team.
