I'm kinda surprised Maddon is double and triple dipping with some of these relievers before going to Warren. His numbers as a reliever seem to indicate he can be trusted with more than just long relief duty.

So, next time, let's:

-Not pitch to Goldschmidt

-Maybe don't give up gobs of hits to Jean Segura

-Put your closer in the bottom of the ninth of a tie game.

Very avoidable loss.

Can't win them all, but not scoring more runs for Hammel in this park against that pitcher is frustrating. Also giving up 8th inning leads and then losing sucks too. Oh well. Another game tomorrow.

I don't know if I like Cahill anymore. I've never quite trusted him out there. He didn't pitch terrible today but did get behind everyone

Eh. Not worried

Obviously nothing to worry about but damn did I want a win on Schwarber's death day. Especially don't want a loss where you blow multiple chances to increase your lead, then blow said lead late and get walked off.

Oh well I love baseball because there's another game tomorrow.

why is Soler positioned in Flagstaff

That was my first thought, too. When the ball was hit I thought it would be caught, then my heart sank when the cameras switched and Soler was in the stands or something. And as bob pointed out, he looks like he got caught in between diving for the catch and trying for the runner at home, and he made a bad throw as a result. Thats a really annoying play to end a really annoying game. I want to believe that Schwarber would have fucked that play up, too, because if not I might have to be really pissed about this final play.
