no. #1, as already mentioned, we didn't sweep

 

#2 he basically said he does these things to keep things fresh and avoid the mundanity of the season, and he didn't think it was needed until now because they already had a lot of fun things going on, like banners, rings, yankees coming to town, trip to fenway, etc. so he didn't think he needed gimmicks to keep guys excited.
