I actually think I have that 08 Rockies game somewhere in iTunes. I bought it several years ago for some strange reason. Have no idea how I could upload it anywhere though.

Ha I bought it too. I didn't see it live and I'm not sure MLB.TV did the free archived games thing yet.

I always love that Aramis moment against Philly because that was like Final Boss level for that team for me - I absolutely knew he was going to come through in that spot because they'd done it so many times already, and he did.

This guy has uploaded a ton of Cubs games recently.

I remember another game where each inning they progressed the broadcast a decade starting in the 1940s.

It was a novel idea until you realized that it was going to be the 7th inning before the broadcast was watchable

What the hell was up with that creepy, "TV you can't ignore" graphic WGN was using? I don't remember that at all; it looks like something the Spice Channel would have had in the 90's.

the funnest part of that video is remembering when we had a third baseman who could hit home runs

Damn you, take a heart

Loved the tribute HR call Len did on the Edmonds shot in the bottom of the ninth. And the old time graphics were awesome. Brought back memories. Brickhouse was great.

I completely forgot about that game but it has all come back to me now.

Man we play some weird ass games against the Rockies at Wrigley

-The 01 game where (I think) Ricky Gutierrez stumbles around 3rd as the winning run, gets caught in a rundown and still manages to score (might be getting details wrong)

-The 07 game above

-The huge 8 run comeback game in 08

-Kris Bryant somehow gets a clutch hit after Cubs blow big lead in 9th in 15

You got everything you mentioned right, although the wildest/funniest part was that Sosa and Girardi (who hit the single that started the play) were also in simultaneous rundowns at second and first respectively. That play seemed to take like 5 minutes but was really not that much longer than your average rundown.

Also the Mongo ejection by Angel Hernandez in 01.

I was working at a chain restaurant as a cook during the 07 game listening on the radio while I was in college . I remember being so pissed when we blew that game. Thankfully Sori delivered in the bottom of the 9th.

Eyre and Howry give up 6 in the 9th to blow a 4 run lead but with the likes of Pagan, Rob Bowen, and Koyie Hill batting in the bottom half you just knew it wasn’t over.

Man, I forget sometimes just how long Len has been calling games for the Cubs.

This is a fun one. Rich Harden's Cubs debut. Marmol blows a 5 run lead in the 9th but Reed Johnson wins it in the 11th.

I skipped work to go to that game, brought a date along, and, just to completely ruin this for everyone FOREVER, totally got laid.

Also holy horsefeathers, DeRosa did the Javy slide to win it. Or at least the white boy version of the Javy slide. That's nuts. It's at 4:28:10

That’s an embarrassingly bad throw from the RFer also. He picks up the ball in short right field right as DeRosa is touching third and can’t throw DeRosa out.

through the rebuild, i never thought my love for that team as my favorite ever could be overshadowed no matter how good we got. i was so very wrong.

I don't remember specifics like you guys but yeah 08 was just a ton of fun until the playoffs. I remember that stretch where we faced a bunch of aces and knocked em out in 5 or less innings. I also remember breaking my phone when Crawford of all people hit a granny against us and the Rays swept us.

The dude posting all the old Cubs games circa 03-09 has posted the entire 4 game Cubs-Brewers series in July 08.
