Deuce has a heart arrhythmia, he's out through the qualifiers.

That sucks but got to take care of yourself. Good chance for everyone else to show something and Jozy needs to be back.

Hope Solo has decided to invoke Operation Shutdown and sit the year out of professional soccer in response to her suspension.

I'm sure her quitting the Reign had nothing at all to do with the fact that, with her USSF contract terminated, her pay would be cut from north of $250k to just under $40k.

I also find it amusing that Carli Lloyd is blowing off her club team's last 4 games for a book tour that was supposedly scheduled in advance.

The behavior of this generation of WNT players compared to the WUSA/99WWC winning generation is just night and day. The WNT players clearly don't give a crap about NWSL.

When USSF offers them the same contact as the MNT this winter (meaning the guaranteed roster spots, restrictive call-up rules and subsidized salary for NT members playing in the NWSL would be eliminated, in lieu of a block grant to NWSL for the individual clubs to allocate as they see fit) and they decline, I'm very interested in how that will be spun by Kessler. Because that's likely what's going to happen.

Kyle Beckerman: A future we can believe in.

I'm extremely, extremely excited to see an in-form Jozy and Bobby Wood paired in a two striker formation. Clint's unfortunate health issues remove any sane obstacles from Klinsy finding away to not play them together. I'm sure he'll find a way. Just like he's finding a way to call Kljestan up and not play him, despite being one of the most complete central midfielders in the pool, Bradley being suspended and Jones being hurt.

That's a great trip. SPL will be cool. Should get two wins for Spurs. Get to see Wembley and WHL. That's awesome.

There are like 5 different formations you could use with this 11 that would make the same amount of sense. Zusi, Beckerman, and Bedoya all starting is just the worst when you have Nagbe, Pulisic, Klejstan, even Morris right there.

Wahl says it's a 4-4-2, so we've reached the point where Bedoya is an attacking central mid in a world cup qualifier. At least we're well equipped to play a defensive game against St. Vincent and the Ghostbusters.

EDIT: Wow, Besler's wife had a baby today and he's in the starting lineup

There's a fairly large section of the fanbase that is of the mind that Bedoya looks toothless in the attack for the NT because he's not being played at attacking mid, but out on the wing.

When you point out he had like 6 goals in the entire time he was in France, they change the subject.
