So if England draws Netherlands in the R16, that means we’d get Romania-Slovenia and Austria against one of Turkey, Czech Republic or Georgia. The winner of those two games play each other which means one of those teams would be in the semis.

I really don't understand how you can caution a player who plays the ball and then lands on his opponent's foot. the defender put his foot in his harm's way. terrible call imo

Hungary clinging to a knockout round spot through the final match of 4 different groups and then losing it because Georgia beat Portugal would be enough to drive an entire country insane.

Netherlands blows their last group game, finishes 3rd and gets Romania in the R16 and either Turkey or Austria (who they did just lose to) to make the SF. Pretty nice road compared to the other 3rds. Georgia gets Spain and Denmark/Germany. Slovenia gets England and Switzerland/Italy. Slovakia gets Portugal and France/Belgium.

Now all they have to do is beat the best team in their group or be eliminated.  But at least if that doesn't work out they can look forward to watching (check notes) the Dominican Republic play in the Olympics instead of their country.
