It’s crazy that we’re watching Barca destroy themselves in real time just to sign horsefeathering mid wingers and an old striker.

I think Lewandowski is a good signing. I don't get Raphinha - they seem to sign people just to sign people some times though I guess it's hard to trust Fati to be healthy.

They’re both perfectly fine signings, but to give away future broadcast rights fee revenues to get them is absurd. You’re giving away money you will absolutely need in the future, all to finish second or third? They need to rebuild or they’ll find themselves in serious serious trouble that will end in them losing the community ownership and governance when they’re forced to sell to Disney or some horsefeathers. They’re doing what are essentially payday loans to delay the inevitable rather than just rebuilding for a few years.

yea, I'm not sure rebuilding is an option at Barcelona. You may well be right but they may see no alternative. I think it's kind of like buying a house assuming it's value will go up. They're not planning to finish second or third though . . . RM is not unassailable.

Really struggling to narrow my World Cup home & away jersey purchase from three to two.

McKennie

Musah

Reyna

Musah seems the best bet to actually play.

Like this a lot. Time to send a message about levels and where England actually is in the hierarchy of the women’s game. 6-0 to us.

Is this tongue-in-cheek?

Hopefully not continuing a run of first rate USMNT keeper options going to the EPL to not get playing time.

No. I want to beat them 6-0 in wembley a month before the men play in the World Cup.

He hasn’t finished with the national team, but he’s so clinical with his club that I want Gregg to start him and just let him find it. Give him a consistent run, because if he can replicate his club form, we might actually have something.

I think the national team hangup with Pefok is that he's not going to give you the pressing intensity and quality that the system requires. Totally on board with him(or Dike) being on the roster so you can toss him on when chasing a goal though.

I am delighted to announce that this Leeds team is fun as hell. They are fast, feisty, and the Americans shined today. I like the Leeds kid with the dumb haircut laughing at Jesse getting under dude’s skin.

It's 2022 and yet pretty much every soccer cleat only goes up to size 13. And the one major one that you can get in larger sizes - the Copa Mundial - I can't get here because California banned the shoe since it's made with Kangaroo leather.

I think they assumed that since Peter Crouch retired it wasn't necessary anymore.

More seriously, it looks like Eurosport has a handful of options that go up to 15 if that helps: https://www.soccer.com/shop/products/footwear/mens-cleats-shoes?order=0&page=1&filter=price__11-250&filter=footwear_men__15

Thanks, I'll take a look at that. I found a pair yesterday that I think will work but we'll see when they arrive. I tried on the same shoe in a different color so I assume it will be okay but you never know until you actually put them on. Normally I can get by with a size 13 for regular shoes but the soccer cleats I tried on tended to be a bit tighter. A couple I tried I barely even laced them up and I could tell they wouldn't work.

My wife is going to Minnesota in a few weeks so I might try to find the Copas in a store there for her to pick up for me since I know a slightly larger size will work just fine in those.
