Looks like Bayern is making the Chris Richards loan permanent for $1.25 mil. They are diving into their partnership with FC Dallas in a huge way.

The FC Dallas supporter friends of mine aren’t thrilled about it but they want shoot ownership any chance they get. Which I can’t really blame them for.

Jose Mourinho was fired today. Not too surprising. This one was coming all year.

He’s held 8 jobs and only once has he coached into the fourth year. That was his first stint with Chelsea and he was fired 6 games into his fourth season.

as a secondary thought, maybe Man U is not a bad spot for Pulisic now.

January camp roster: [tweet]

I like Tyler Miller's potential, but we're calling him in instead of recognizing any of the age 30+ keepers that are miles better than him? I mean, at least call in Hamid if you're terrified of Frei or Melia maybe being out of prime come 2022.

On a homer note, hopefully this is the break where Roldan actually gets some real minutes. I'm not sure he's an international stalwart, but he's 23 and the same caliber as Acosta but can't get more than garbage time, and never seems to get discussed as a real option compared to jokers like Trapp and Delgado.

Hopefully we get to see Ebobisse play major minutes.

*looks at forward list*

Me too.

Aren't too many on this roster that I want to see player major minutes long term. Hopefully this is just a weed out camp.

It’s better than it was a couple of days ago. I still want to see him and Salah in the field together running at and past defenses. That and i don’t want to horsefeathering cheer for Chelsea.

Also Jadon Sancho is legit. England aren’t going away for the next decade.

yea, Sancho is good. I would be worried about PT with Liverpool.

Watching the Bundesliga is fun - tons of Americans playing there. Sargent with goal #2 yesterday (an equalizer no less).

After seeing the result of today's Chelsea game is Pulisic thinking...

A) Is it too late for this transfer to get voided?

or

B) Well, at least I'll be guaranteed a starting spot.

As champs, they are probably going to take a "it ain't broke" approach, but I would really, really prefer that Atlanta gives Andrew Carleton more run this year.

Good god.

Now is probably not the right time to trot this out, but one of my hottest US soccer takes is that Carleton is/will be Harry Shipp with a ponytail. It'd be real nice for the national team if that were wrong though. Still tough to see a path for Carleton to get too many minutes either way, with Pity and Barco in front of him and the 3-4-3 that de Boer wants to play doesn't do him favors either.

He's got some bust potential.

Honestly, I believe fairly strongly that Tyler Adams is our best bet for consistently elite at his position in the player pool, including Pulisic & Sargent.

Agreed, with as quickly as he's acclimated at Leipzig it feels like him being at least a strong 6 in a Champions League team is a near certainty. If he can pick up a taste for line splitting passes(probably at his next stop since he won't get that chance with Leipzig's style), watch out.
