They've been pants since Alexis Sanchez came back into the side. Campbell isn't as good, but the team played a hell of a lot better with him in it.

Meanwhile, Walcott plays like he got a red card the 1st minute today...

Tottenham and Arsenal both down at HT.

Midway through the second half, I was convinced it was going to be one of those games where a team dominates but can't find the back of the net. Fabianski was great until he didn't catch the corner and instead punched it, which led to the first.

This Spurs team is a lot of fun. Now tied with Leicester for most goals scored (though City is 1 back with a game in hand) and they've allowed 5 fewer than any other team.

Massive week though with at West Ham and home to Arsenal.

Leicester City are not going to do it are they? Seem to be running out of steam a tiny bit.

Tottenham has:

West Ham

Arsenal

Villa

Bournemouth

Pool

ManU

Stoke

West Brom

Chelsea

Southhampton

Newcastle

And at least 2 matches vs Dortmund

Leicester has:

Watford

Newcastle

Palace

Southhampton

Sunderland

West Ham

Swansea

ManU

Everton

Chelsea

They need 9 points from their next 3 matches. The both close tough though, but the extra matches for Tottenham could hurt them if they get past Dortmund.

Yep, the next three are huge for Leicester, just like the next two are for Spurs. And those games at the end of the year against teams fighting to stay up can be harder than they might seem on paper, as Leicester found out the last two games. But how Spurs deal with 3 games in 7 days including the two London derbies will be big.

I'm really hoping Dortmund bounce Spurs because otherwise the next round Tottenham will go at Liverpool (Sat), Europa (Thu), vs. ManU (Sun), Europa (Thu) and at Stoke (Mon). Would be really nice to not have Europa especially if ManU knocks off Liverpool and they have to play the Thursday before playing Spurs.

Definitely still a four-way race though and the next 2 1/2 months are going to be fun. Leicester has the schedule on their side. Tottenham is the hottest team right now and the best defensive team in the league. Arsenal is finally healthy (though Ox just got hurt again) but they're still in the FA Cup and still play road games against Spurs, ManU, ManCity and West Ham. Man City has an easier schedule (hardest two games are Arsenal and ManU both at home) but they've probably got 3 more Champions League games and they've got more ground to make up.

If today's results hold it's really going to be a 2 team race, because Liverpool are busy making sure City pull a 2004 Cubs, and Arsenal are confirming how soft as hell they are.

They are just never going to win the league again so long as Wenger is there and refuses to address the glaring holes that have been in that team for a decade.

Spurs never got going today. Everything was a bit off. The passing wasn't as crisp, their first touches weren't as good. Chadli made a terrible back pass to give away the corner then got beat on the header for the only goal. West Ham definitely deserved to win.

I'm still annoyed but it's easier to take knowing Leicester tied at home and Arsenal lost at home, both to bottom half teams. Would have been nice if ManU didn't win also but oh well. Can't get too greedy. Arsenal's the big loser this gameweek. With all their tough road games, they can't afford to be blowing games at home.

Definitely can't lose to Arsenal this weekend.

If LCFC open up a 6 point lead thanks to an Arsenal win, they are going to win the title barring catastrophe (like Jordan Henderson getting a dumb straight red, Gerrard slipping, and blowing a 2-goal lead to Palace type turn of events).

But don't worry. This Arsenal team is done. They aren't winning at WHL.

Also, I know Citeh has a game in hand but Man United is now even on points for 4th despite being fricking terrible all year long.

Which is really just my way of saying that that Manchester City team is a colossal waste of money. If Yaya Toure were an American athlete playing one of our big 3 sports he'd be the subject of ohsomany scorching hot takes about how lazy and fat and selfish he is.

It's also worth noting that Joel Campbell started and scored today for Arsenal, and instead of yanking the completely ineffective Alexis Sanchez for Welbeck, Wenger pulled Campbell.

Cech is also out for Saturday. I thought Tottenham might lose to West Ham, I didn't expect Arsenal to lose to Swansea. Saturday should be fund except Tott-Arsenal is at damn 5:45am. Edited by shnsajax

City can't beat anyone good. In 11 games against the other top-8 teams they have 0W, 3T, 8L. The only team with fewer points against the top-8 is Villa with 2. Against the bottom 12 teams they have 14W, 2T, 0L. Their best home win is against Southampton and their best road win is at Everton. They're a slightly better and more expensive version of Tottenham from two years ago when Spurs got annihilated by the top-4 (1 draw, 7 losses in 8 games).

Seattle gets a lucky own goal to take a 3-2 aggregate lead at Azteca in the 41st minute so of course they cough two up before the half

BBC has it as 12.45 pm  (that's 1.45 pm for me, and suits me just fine :D )

I'm usually up by 7 anyway so 6:45 EST is fine for me.
