while the french toast vs waffles argument could (perhaps should?) go on for centuries, who are the 9 maniacs that think pancakes should be considered? seriously?

smh

No syrup for me either, on any of the three. Sweetness overkill. Half a stick of butter instead.

Assuming all three at their best, I'd probably give a slight nod to French toast, but I've also had more terrible French toast than terrible waffles or pancakes. It pisses me off when places like IHOP advertise French toast and it ends up being a stuffed fritter/donut underneath syrup and powdered sugar. That is not French toast.

Waffles are a very close second, but not Belgian style. Prefer the smaller dimple kind (Waffle House) with at least 3/4ths of the dimples filled with butter.

Try it sometime.

I choose waffles and it's not close in my mind.

The only acceptable way to eat eggs is over medium

Soak up that yolk with your toast and bacon

Heck yes. Ultimate breakfast for me is some kind of monstro skillet with an over easy or over medium egg on top.

YES! GIVE ME ALL THE HUEVOS RANCHEROS!!!!

This is how I usually breakfast at home. From bottom to top:

Biscuits

Breaded tenderloin

Hash browns

Sausage gravy

Cheddar cheese

Scrambled eggs

Yeah, let's face it: the poll choices here are basically breakfast dessert if you have room for them. If you have the choice and the time, meats and cheeses and eggs and potatoes should be the primary choices.

My number one choice is some kind of hash with an egg on top and some good toast on the side.

The Ron Swanson breakfast rules all forever.

But really, I love Denver omelettes and skillets that are more like a supreme pizza than anything.

Swap out the tenderloin for bacon and you've got mine.

YES! GIVE ME ALL THE HUEVOS RANCHEROS!!!!

Around here, it seems like everyone eats huevos rancheros or breakfast burritos.

As for the topic, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three, but I'd choose french toast if pressed. Breakfast food is just generally awesome.

it really is

we shouldn't fight over this, lets be more inclusive

I always picture the sweets when going out to breakfast but end up ordering something egg based.
