I'd say BPA as long as that's not another LB. I'd really like that best player to be on offense though.

some people have that TE as one of the BPA right now. I wouldn't hate it but I'm not a TE guy and I'm not sure any other offensive skills players are that exciting.

I'd like to see OL addressed early but I'm not sure anybody stands out here.

Might as well go bonkers with defense and take the best pass rusher or DT available.

Obligatory, BPA, that said I think there is a good chance a DL is BPA and also satisfies a need. But, if you for instance really liked Jack and were comfortable with his knee and he's still sitting there, we could probably still fill DL in Rd 3 or 4.

Need wise, corner and safety are still glaring. Don't think corner will be a good value, unless you want to take a chance on another injury guy, Kendall Fuller. I thought safety was gonna be a good value, but not now that Neal and Joseph both went last night.

I guess this TE class sucks according to the consensus, but some if the mid-round prospects are interesting to me, and I think Henry would be solid too.

OL I'd like to see addressed once, but it doesn't have to be forced.

if they were actually good, having two corners who are brothers would be the coolest thing ever.

It would be cool for like 5 seconds until we hear some dumbass broadcaster talk about their chemistry for 20 minutes on Sunday afternoon.

So....

Not that this really means anything, just thought it was funny.

Funny couple quotes, but I think this gives a little more on what he means:

“(Georgia) moved him all over. He is such a versatile athlete, so he’s playing inside linebacker one snap and then the next snap it is like he is playing nickel and running up the field with a slot receiver. I think with him playing more of a pass rush position, he’ll have more production.”

So move him around, inside/outside but keep him rushing the passer more and less in coverage. Of course he'll probably have to play some coverage eventually, but not necessarily cover a receiver.

This article also says they plan to play him at around 240, whereas he played much of the season at 220(!). So at least they aren't counting on him putting on a ton of weight and trying to make him a different player. But yes, now I want more DL to keep him and rest of the LBs running free. Looks like some decent guys left on the board.

Are they comfortable with that Lee character they picked up last year as the back up TE? I'm imagining that they'll just grab a veteran guy that gets cut sometime during the roster reduction process to mix in with Miller otherwise. I'd like to see them take a LT with the next pick if there is a guy that drops or projects when they pick next.

Has anyone looked closely how Loggains used TE in the past? It's definitely possible that they'd roll ahead with what they have, though I think they did have some FA interest, just nothing that came to fruition.

Eta- looks like he spread it around a little to his backup TEs his first year as OC, and then almost not at all his second year, where his TE was Delanie Walker. Of course he also handed the ball offrom 270 times to Chris Johnson, sor we probably can't go off his past experience too closely.

As far as a LT, I've seen Jason Spriggs out of IU commonly mocked in this area. I'd be fine with that. Not liking TE here. Would much rather see another defensive guy.

Not crazy about the pick but I'll defer to Fox/Fangio and I do agree they needed a speed element to their pass rush.

Also not sure why the radio interview is getting buzz. We're talking about a 23 year old that likely was up all night celebrating and didn't get any sleep.

Hey if Kris Bryant has to play a baseball game the day after, this guy can give a better radio interview.

Chicago gives up: 11th pick overall, fourth-round pick (No. 106 overall)

Tampa Bay gives up: ninth pick overall

This was a small price for Chicago to pay to move up two spots to select Georgia linebacker Leonard Floyd; the trade may be a little harder to understand from the Buccaneers’ perspective. My chart has this as a nice deal for Tampa Bay — the team picked up 117 cents on the dollar. The Jimmy Johnson calculator has this trade as nearly dead even (it has Tampa Bay losing the deal by a tiny margin), which suggests that teams really do use that chart as a framework for trade discussions. Sometimes, teams need to overpay to acquire the players they want: The Giants were heavily linked to Conklin and Floyd at 10th overall and then saw teams trade up (and overpay) to No. 8 and No. 9 to take those two players. Giving up a high fourth-round pick is not insignificant, but the draft was light on pure edge rushers, so the trade makes sense if Chicago viewed Floyd as a great prospect (and far ahead of, say, Clemson’s Shaq Lawson) and pass rusher as a big need position.

The only reason this struck me as a bit odd was that Tampa Bay traded down two spots to take a corner, Vernon Hargreaves, but watched the Giants draft cornerback Eli Apple in between! There’s no way of knowing how the Bucs valued Hargreaves relative to Apple, but presumably Tampa Bay got the man it wanted considering that Hargreaves had a higher grade by most analysts and was born in Tampa. Still, the Bucs could have lost Hargreaves to New York, so Tampa Bay likely viewed a free early fourth-rounder as worth the risk.

I remember a few people had A'Shawn Robinson mocked to the Bears at #11. I like the defensive players left better than the offensive ones.

Anyone like Braxton Miller? Will he go 2nd or 3rd?

I like him but not at 2 and probably not at 3. Think hell.go back end of 2.
