Ugh. What happened to drafting BPA and not for need?

How is lb a need

I suppose I wasnt thinking straight positional need but rather pass rushing need. Either way, still pissed that they didnt take Tunsil.

I thought a bit about that after my reply and I forget we play a 3-4 now and olb is like Richard Dent not Otis Wilson

I just hope he's Richard dent and not Alonzo spellman

PFF - Floyd was the No. 2 edge defender prospect in pass-rush productivity in 2015. He also graded positively in coverage and versus the run.

I bet he'll get a half dozen sacks in situational coverage. But it will take 3 years to figure out if he's worthy of a 9th overall pick.

if it takes 3 years, he's not worthy.

with Tunsil sitting there, this seems like a huge disappointment.

I hope this guy isn't Pace's Shea

When weed is that much of a priority for a guy, that does not bode well for an nfl career

Got to figure Fangio and Fox had a lot of input here. So if you're cool with pass rushing LB as a position the Bears needed you figure you're trusting the the guys who had roles in putting together two of the best recent outside linebackers corps in recent NFL history (SF & the DEN) as well as the Giants who consistently knock pass rusher out of the park.

So if this is a Shea pick that's a lot of good talent evaluators who missed.

What?

Am I thinking of the right dude? Dude who left teams feeling no better about his weed issues in the draft interviews?

His teammate maybe? Robert N.... I'm not even gonna try.

Tunsil did have other characters concerns, but never failed a drug test.

Thrilho right as usual.

What if he gets 16 sacks that year?

projects in the top 10, I just don't like it. Grab a starter.

eh, we'll see. But I'm not happy right now with a guy who projects as a situational, sub-package pass rusher in his first season.

Tunsil starts right away and makes your line a strength.

Btw I know nothing about college football or football talent evaluation but wanted a pass rusher and I'm geeked that there was a guy that they wanted to jump and get. The fact that they were going after the same guy the Giants got is just gravy. Hoping Fangio sees an Aldon Smith type in him. That San Fran D was fun to watch. Edited by Thrilho

I'm not thrilled either but he he is still very intriguing. It's just probably that biggest boom bust guy in the top 10 (non QB)
