It'd be awesome adding two Top-10 picks to the team next year. We're making the playoffs in 2016 guys.

Well we get the NFC East and AFC South next year, the two divisions that are threatening to send a sub .500 team to the playoffs this season. So that's certainly good.

Home

Philadelphia

Washington

Jacksonville

Tennessee

NFC West

Away

Dallas

NY Giants

Houston

Indianapolis

NFC South

The home game against the west would either be St Louis or San Francisco and the NFC South team would either be the Bucs, Falcons or Saints.

While those are some bad teams this year, I could see several of those teams making huge jumps next year. Dallas and Indy are a season and a healthy Romo & Luck, respectively from 11 win teams. Still very talented teams that could easily be that good again if healthy next year. Houston is a QB away from being really good, and could present some problems with Watt and Hopkins regardless. Jacksonville and Tennessee appear to have their QBs in place, so they could really improve in a hurry if those guys are for real. The rest of those teams are not very good in recent history....of course, neither are the Bears. And I'd imagine all their fans are probably circling the Bears as a potential win on their 2016 schedule also.

Robbie Gould should be investigated for point shaving.

Well the line against SF was Bears -7 I believe, so neither of the kicks would have changed the line (although I guess in teasers the line would be different but that's an insignificant volume of gambling transactions vs. betting against the overall line)

The line yesterday was -1 I believe, so I guess if he hit the FG and the Bears won in OT, it would have changed the line.

I don't think Gould is point shaving, I think he is just old and sucks now

34 isn't necessarily old for a kicker.

Yep. He's not point shaving. He's not old.

He just sucks now.

What's the lowest we can realistically get if we lost out? I am guessing in the range of 6-7

The Bears can still get the 6th seed in the NFC playoffs or they could get the #1 overall pick.

Win out and have the Vikings lose out (this for the most part is all that needs to be done, assuming GB wins tonight)

Lose out and have Tennessee, Cleveland, and San Diego win out. There also may be tiebreaker stuff here if those teams all go 2-1 (other teams could factor in also) and there's a multi-way tie. I believe the team with the easiest SOS gets the #1 pick. I know the Bears did have the toughest schedule in football at least til last week, so IDK if they win a tiebreaker.

I wouldn't mind moving Long back to guard next year. They might be playing their way back Stanley/Tunsil territory in the draft.

Bears up to the 10th pick based on those SOS tiebreakers: http://www.sbnation.com/nfl-mock-draft/2015/12/13/10064384/2016-nfl-draft-order-titans-chargers-browns-cowboys?utm_campaign=mockingthedraft&utm_content=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter

No way Tunsil gets out of the top 5. I'm happy with picking 10th though. Really opens up more of a chance to get an elite talent. At 17, the Bears were probably looking at getting a 2nd tier OT (Conklin, Decker), a 3-4 OLB with questions (Floyd, Clemson's Lawson), or a DL pick....while still not being a playoff team. And I'm not all that fond of any of those guys except your boy, Kenny Clark.

At 10, this brings back into play guys like Jaylon Smith, Myles Jack, DeForest Buckner, Ronnie Stanley, and maybe an outside shot at Jalen Ramsey.

Myles Jack on this team would make me insanely happy.

Jaylon's better, but we could probably say "good-bye" to TEs destroying the defense in the middle of the field consistently with Jack on the roster.

Well there was a chance he would remain on the active roster so he could practice but not play, but that was probably unlikely.

Yeah with the playoffs basically out, I though there was some chance they activate him and just have him practice. See ya next yearv Kevin.

seems dumb not to have him active just for practice, but w/e

I agree with just not risking it. He'll still be way ahead of the curve for his 'rookie' year.

Lost seasons suck hard.

On one hand, it sucks that the 7th overall pick isn't going to play a single down for us in his rookie year. On the other hand, he wouldn't have made much of a difference this year (W/L wise), so next year the Bears will be adding a top 10 talent, with another top 10-15 pick.
