Why did they call timeout at 2:12.

That was really stupid.

they better get a play off before the two minute warning

What do you mean? 1 TO with 2:12 left (essentially 2 TOs left bc of the 2 min warning) or 2 TOs with 2:00 left

Congrats Fox, your dumb decision cost you the win against the team that dumped your ass last year

i wasn't going to bother the first time you said it, but since this makes twice...

who is to say any of that would've played out the same had he kicked, especially since not kicking resulted in them getting the ball where they did?

it probably wouldn't have.

going for the TD was fine.

if you wanna pick at something, it's the decision to punt from like the 45 on 4th and short...but people won't because something else didn't happen right after it Edited by David

coaches choosing TDs over FGs should always be celebrated regardless of the situation

It was as reasonable to try the FG; it makes a potential later TD drive a chance for a win.

What hurts most is seeing how easy Cutty could have run it in

Yes yes butterfly effect. That comment was mostly emotional reaction but I definitely don't think going for a TD was fine there.

If it was a 7 point game fine, if they were 1-2 yards out fine. But it was an 8 point game and 4 yards out. If they kick a FG the following happens:

-An opponent FG keeps it a 1 possession game

-if you stop them you can win with a TD

but if you fail to convert, you are left with needing a TD and 2 pointer and any opponent score ends the game.

The Bears were in a spot on the field where it's probably too far to run it, so you are looking to score against the best secondary in the NFL.

I'd like to see the probability chart or whatever it is for sure because I'm obviously not certain if I'm right, it just strongly makes logical sense to me. Because Fox gave up the 3 points he put himself in a situation where he had one shot at gaining 2 yards for a tie game and they didn't get it.
